Norms of Practice

As Promulgated by the Episcopal Council of the Christian Synod of Saint Timothy in November 2004

 

We accept the following Norms of Practice:

1.      The mind of the Synod with respect to all matters may be found in her Book of Common Life, containing her Common Faith, Common Order, and Common Prayer.

2.      All questions and disputes concerning the basic faith of the Synod shall be settled by Common Faith, or referred to the Episcopal Council.

3.      All questions concerning the conduct of Christian Worship, the appropriate form, matter, and intent for the Mysteries, proper candidates for ordination, requirements for those to be married, guidelines for ministering to the sick, burying the dead, and other such matters may be found in the rubrics and texts of Common Prayer. When questions arise, they shall be referred to the Episcopal Council.

4.      Other matters, which have not been covered in the Book of Common Life, shall be referred to the Episcopal Council.
